Helping To Give Parents A Voice
Advocating is a full time job and as such I have spent many hours at my computer writing letters, emails and articles. The biggest problem I have come across in advocating for my son is the lack of information available to parents. We are all fighting our own battles – but in isolation. I’d like to change that. These pages will contain many letters and issues, which I have already battled but the issues are probably similar to the same issues parents are facing on a daily basis. This site is similar to a recipe sharing site only we won’t be swapping cookie recipes here – we’ll swap battle plans – because even though we can’t win every battle – we can put our best effort into winning the battles that affect our children the most.
I have fought and lost many battles but I have won the major wars, which for Jordan has made a huge difference in his day-to-day life. I’ve made mistakes in advocating – like all parents but in the end; all that really matters is that Jordan has gotten what he needs.
